Name Scholarship After Local Victim
Glendale Woman Was Top Student

Glendale resident Patricia Cimaroli Massari died during the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. But her memory will live on in the form of a scholarship that her alma mater, Berkeley College, officially established in her name last Thursday.
Created with donations from Massari’s family and friends, the $1,200 annual gift will be awarded to students in their third year of the Bachelor of Business Administration—Accounting program at the Midtown Manhattan campus. Financial need, grade point average and performance on

“This scholarship will give someone an opportunity to make something of themselves, just as Patricia did,” said Louis Massari, Patricia’s widowed husband. “Her family and I know that this is what Patricia would have wanted. We hope that all recipients of this scholarship will be able to realize the same dreams that Patricia had, and that when the day comes for their graduation, they will smile as brightly as Patricia, knowing that she is their guardian angel.”
An extremely friendly person with an infectious smile, Patricia Massari, 25, was a capital analyst at Marsh & McLennan on the 98th Floor of WTC Tower One. She had been married to Louis for two years and had just found out that she was pregnant the morning of the attacks.
