PeeWee W Basketball
December 22
On Sunday, Our Lady of Hope’s PeeWee W team hosted Sacred Heart A at the OLH gym. Our Lady of Hope played their hearts out in a game for first place, but came up short 22-15. Jessica Wasserfall led the way for Hope with seven points. Christine Pavia played a great all around game, scoring five points, and Stephanie Taibe added three points on an exciting three-point play in the fourth quarter. Aniela Sosnowski and Meaghan Grimaldi handled the ball well at the point and played aggressive defense.
Sacred Heart played an outstanding game led by point guard Conter with eight points, Ramos with six and Contorno and McGowan with four points apiece. Sacred Heart remains undefeated at 11-0 with three games to go, while Hope drops to 8-2 with four games remaining.
Hope’s next game is on Sunday, January 5, against St. Stan’s at OLH.
