DENNIS RILEY died on August 4, 2010 at the age of 60. A proud member of the United States Marine Corps, he was the beloved husband of Georgette Schuchardt and devoted godfather of Karen Bollmann. +++ ROBERT KRACHIE died on August 5, 2010 at the age of 45. He was the loving son of Eleanor, dear brother of Edward J. and Eleanor Dunne, dear brother-in-law of Steven and dear uncle of Megan Dunne. +++ CATHERINE THERESA RUSSIN died on August 21, 2010 at the age of 90. She was the widow of the late Stanley J. Sr., loving mother of Stanley J. Russin Jr. and Carol Ann Barta, cherished grandmother of Graham, Kate, Ryan and Kyle and greatgrandmother of Dean and Brodie, and dear sister of Emily Rivenburg and Veronica Holley. Mass of Christian burial was offered at St. Mary’s Church on Monday, Aug. 23, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

She was the widow of the late Antonino, loving mother of Nick Scandariato, Mattia Riggio, Frances Varvaro, Rita Garofalo and the late Francesco Scandariato, grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren. Mass of Christian burial was offered at Our Lady of Hope Church followed by entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, N.Y., under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth. BERNARD BEHLING died on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the age of 92. A veteran of the United States Army who served during World War II, he was the widow of the late Margaret (Peggy), loving father of Frank J. Behling and father-in-law of the late Marie, cherished grandfather of Edward, Julia, Paula, Anthony and the late Frankie, dear great-grandfather of Joseph and Gracie, and dear brother of Genevieve Wesolowski; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services are scheduled to take place today, Thursday, August 26, at 10 a.m. at Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth, followed by interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village.

A native of Brooklyn, she was the dear sister of Rosaria and Philip Giambruno, Nancy LaPinta, Mary Greco and Lulu Fazio; also survived by many nieces and nephews. JOSEPHINE TRAMPOSCH (nee Verderber), of Ridgewood died on August 10, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Of Gottscheer descent, she was the beloved wife of Frank Tramposch, devoted mother of Elaine Haufe and Joan Haufe, dear grandmother of Gregory, Steven, Tiffany and Thomas, and beloved sister of Emma Schneider and Emil Verderber. She is also survived by numerous nieces/nephews, and great/great-great nieces/nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church on August 14, 2010. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Village Chapels, 67-67 Eliot Avenue, Middle Village.

A native of Yugoslavia, she was the beloved wife of Alois Preiditsch and devoted mother of Ingrid Casquarelli, Roswitha Schmidt and Cynthia Azzolini; also survived by two grandchildren. +++ RICHARD E. HOFFMAN of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Ridgewood, died on August 6, 2010 at the age of 50. A native of Brooklyn, he was the loving son of Joan F. (nee Flandrerau) and the late Jack E. Hoffmann, dear brother of Susan Turner and Stephen Hoffmann; also survived by three nephews and one niece. Services were officiated by Rev. Michael T. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
