Building Baskets For Mothers Students who are members of the Builders Club at I.S. 73 in Maspeth assembled baskets for residents of a women’s shelter as part of a special Mothers Day project. In preparing for the effort, the students had collected personal hygiene items from various sources for placement in the “Baskets of Hope and Happiness.” The I.S. 73 Builders Club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Maspeth; Harriet Kliegman serves as its teacher/advisor.
