Her Winning Design Turned To Art Ozone Park resident Samantha Kerr, 9, had her design painted by professional artist George Alonzo onto a carousel horse at The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale last Sunday, June 8. Samantha was the grand prize winner in The Shops at Atlas Park’s Carousel Coloring Contest. Her design for “Sammy” was declared the winner among more than 300 entries which had been submitted last month. Samantha was presented with a VIP card for unlimited carousel rides for her and her friends, plus a $50 gift card to the Shops at Atlas Park.  (photo: Adriana Varella)
