Found Shot In Car That Struck Tree
Homicide Probe In Death Of Jam. Man

What appeared to be a one-car collision along a South Ozone Park roadway last Saturday night, Apr. 26 turned out to be a crime scene after a man was discovered with fatal gunshot wounds inside the vehicle, it was reported.

Police said that 25-year-old Allan George Holley of 147th Street in Jamaica was found fatally shot inside a car that struck a tree near the intersection of 133rd Avenue and the Van Wyck Expressway.

Members of the 106th Precinct responded to the scene of the crash at around 9:35 p.m. Saturday evening.

According to information obtained by police during the investigation, four African-American males were observed inside a black sedan that pulled up to the vehicle in the vicinity of the intersection prior to the accident.

Shots were reportedly heard moments later, and the black sedan was observed fleeing from the location southbound on the Van Wyck Expressway service road.

Upon arrival, law enforcement sources said, the officers discovered the victim with gunshot wounds to his head and shoulder inside the damaged vehicle, a tan Kia Optima.

Emergency medical technicians rushed Holley to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

As of press time, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing, it was noted.
