EMILY F. MEYER of Glendale died on September 4, 2008 at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of Harry F., devoted mother of Barbara Van Cott, Janet DePrisco and Harry Meyer; also survived by six grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. Services were held at Redeemer Lutheran Church followed by interment in Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of the George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Avenue, Glendale.

+++ ROSE M. DiBONA of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Queens, died on September 1, 2008 at the age of 78. A native of Queens, she was the wife of Mario P., devoted mother of Vincent J., Lawrence D., and David (all DiBona); also survived by four grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Peter's Church, Jupiter, Florida followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, Florida under the direction of the Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home, Jupiter, Florida.

She was the widow of the late Frank, devoted mother of Mario Battista, Rose Ann Caraccio and the late Sabina Irizzary, dear grandmother of Frank, Jennifer, Frank B., Diana and Anthony, great-grandmother of Johnny, Franky, Nicholas, Daniela, Santino, Mia, Ava and Isabella. Williams Allen, dear grandmother of Naomi McCalla and Rebecca McCalla, great-grandmother of Lakee Jr., Nia and Nishlackyah, lifelong friend of Lorraine Zaboklicki. She was a Korean War U.S. Navy veteran. Religious services were held at the Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Avenue, Maspeth followed by interment in The Evergreens Cemetery.
