Ridgewood's St. Matthias Honors School Sisters Of Notre Dame
As part of a continuing series of events to celebrate the Ridgewood parish's 100th anniversary, St. Matthias R.C. Church held a special mass of recognition to honor the School Sisters of Notre Dame last Sunday, Sept. 21. As noted, the order of nuns has staffed St. Matthias School on Catalpa Avenue since 1910. Among the sisters pictured outside the church, eight currently live/work at St. Matthias. Last Sunday's event, which included a luncheon following the mass, was sponsored by the St. Matthias Centennial Committee.
