Class was dismissed for a Brooklyn teenager arrested by police at a Ridgewood school last Wednesday, Sept. 17 for allegedly holding up a youth at a local park two days earlier, it was reported.

Law enforcement sources identified the suspect as 18-year-old Jovan Figueras of South 1st Street in Williamsburg.

According to authorities, the teenager was taken into custody at Grover Cleveland High School on Himrod Street after information obtained by police linked him to the theft of a cell phone from a youth at Grover Cleveland Park last Monday, Sept. 15.

Reportedly, the robbery occurred at around 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 15 inside the Ridgewood public green located at the intersection of Stanhope Street and Grandview Avenue.
