Subway Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Sept. 24. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

Local, Express Service

Change On 7 Line

Manhattan-bound 7 express trains run local service between Willets Point-Shea Stadium and Queensboro Plaza on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. until noon through Friday, Oct. 3; and on weekdays, Monday and Tuesday, from noon to 3 p.m. through Tuesday, Oct. 7. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Additionally, Flushing-bound 7 trains will run express service between Queensboro Plaza and Willets Point-Shea Stadium on weekdays, Wednesday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 3.

During this service change, these trains will stop at Woodside-61st Street and Junction Boulevard.

For service to the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street, 69th Street, 74th Street, 82nd Street, 90th Street, 103rd Street and 111th Street stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street, Junction Boulevard or Willets Point stations, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

For service from these stations, take a Manhattan-bound 7 train to Junction Boulevard, Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train.

Furthermore, Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 69th Street, 52nd Street, 46th Street, 40th Street and 33rd Street stations during weekdays, Monday and Tuesday, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Tuesday, Oct. 7. These trains will continue to stop at Woodside-61st Street.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street, or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take a Flushingbound 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

E Trains In Queens

Are Late Night Local

Jamaica-bound E trains will operate local service between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue this weekend, from 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29. This service change will also be in effect the following weekend, from 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6.

Additionally, Manhattan-bound E trains will run local service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Plaza during late nights, Friday through Monday, from 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Monday, Oct. 6.

Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

E, R Lines Operate

As Late Night Express

Manhattan-bound E and R trains will run express service between 71st-Continental Avenues and Roosevelt Avenue late night on Thursday, Sept. 25 and Friday, Sept. 26 from 12:01 a.m. until 5 a.m.

For service to the 67th Avenue, 63rd Drive, Woodhaven Boulevard, Grand Avenue and Elmhurst Avenue stations, take the E or train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound E train or a Forest Hills-bound R train. For service from these stations, take a Jamaicabound E train or a Forest Hillsbound R train to 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train.

Van Wyck Blvd. Stop

Closed Two Evenings

Jamaica-bound E and F trains will skip the Van Wyck Boulevard Station late nights on Wednesday, Oct. 1 and Thursday, Oct. 2 from 12:01 a.m. until 5 a.m.

For service to this station, take the E train to Jamaica-Van Wyck or the F train to Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or F train. For service from this station, take a Manhattan-bound E or F train to Union Turnpike, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound E or F train.

Late Night, Weekend

Local Service On F

Manhattan-bound F trains will operate local service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Plaza during late nights on weekends, Friday through Monday, from 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Friday, Oct. 6. These trains will also operate local service between Roosevelt Avenue and 21st Street-Queensbridge on late nights, Monday through Friday, from 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Friday, Oct. 24.

These trains will also operate local service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Plaza on weekends, Fridays through Mondays, from 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Monday, Oct. 6.

Additionally, some Manhattanbound F trains may operate local service between 71st-Continental Avenues and 21st Street- Queensbridge during weekday rush hours, Monday through Friday, from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. through Friday, Oct. 24.

Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time during these periods.

G Train Service Is

Suspended In Qns.

G train service between 71st- Continental Avenues and Court Square will be suspended late night on weekends until further notice from 8:30 p.m. Fridays until 5 a.m. Mondays. This service will also be in effect late night on Thursday, Sept. 25 and Friday, Sept. 26 from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.

For service to points in Brooklyn, take the R train to Queens Plaza and transfer to the E train. Take the E train to 23rd Street-Ely Avenue, where G service is available at the Court Square platform.

For service to points in Queens, transfer to the E train at Court Square, then depart at Queens Plaza for R train local service.

Split Service On J

Train In Manhattan

J trains will operate in two sections— between Jamaica Center and Essex Street and between Essex Street and Chambers Street—this weekend, from 1 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8. Riders may transfer between J trains at Essex Street to continue their trip.

Extra LIRR Service

For Jewish New Year

The Long Island Rail Road is providing eight additional eastbound trains from Penn Station this Monday, Sept. 29 during the afternoon rush hour for customers traveling early in observance of the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah).

Among the extra trains provided between 2:09 p.m. and 3:48 p.m. on Monday are the following:

• the 2:09 p.m. train on the Port Jefferson branch stopping at Jamaica and Carle Place, then all stops to Huntington;

• the 2:26 p.m. train on the Port Jefferson branch stopping at Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Jamaica and New Hyde Park, then all stops to Huntington;

• the 3 p.m. train on the Babylon branch stopping at Jamaica and Rockville Centre, then all stops to Babylon;

• the 3:24 p.m. train on the Port Jefferson branch stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, Westbury and Hicksville;

• the 3:40 p.m. train on the Port Washington branch stopping at Woodside and Flushing-Main Street, then all stops to Great Neck; and,

• the 3:48 p.m. train on the Far Rockaway branch stopping at Jamaica, then all stops to Far Rockaway.
