OLH Begins Its Season In Style
      On Sept. 14, the Our Lady of Hope seventh grade girls' soccer team, the Hope Hornets, played their first game of the 2008 CYO season. It was an extremely humid Sunday afternoon at O'Conner Field in Bayside, where the Hope Hornets met Sacred Heart of Bayside. Hope played extremely well on offense, winning 4-0.

Biffle In Victory Lane For Second Straight Week

      For the second week in a row Greg Biffle was in victory lane after winning Sunday's Sprint Cup Camping World 400 at Dover Downs. He was followed across the finish line by teammates Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards. "I knew I had to race Matt clean, because he's a great teammate and competitor," said Biffle.

CK Football Starts Defense Of Crown
      On Friday, Sept. 19, the Christ the King boys' varsity soccer started their 2008 season with a home game against Bishop Ford High School. The Royals entered the game with a new team. After winning the 2007 Brooklyn-Queens Division, the team lost 10 players due to graduation and injuries.
