For Express Buses Through Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, the QM10, QM12, QM15, QM16, QM17, QM18 and QM22 express buses will not stop on Sixth Avenue at 50th and 52nd streets due to holiday traffic. Riders of the Queens-bound QM10, QM12 and QM22 can pick up the buses on Sixth Avenue between 51st and 52nd streets, while commuters using the Queens-bound QM15, QM16, QM17 and QM18 buses can board on Sixth Avenue at 48th Street. Subway Changes The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work. These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Nov. 19. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following: Bklyn. Stops Skipped On Qns.-Bound J Line Queens-bound J trains will skip the Hewes Street, Lorimer Street and Flushing Avenue stations this weekend, from 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 until 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23. For service to these stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue- Broadway, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J train. For service from these stops, take a Manhattanbound J train to Marcy Avenue, pick up a free ticket and transfer to a Queens-bound J train. Late Night Closures Along The L Line L train service will be suspended between First Avenue and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan during late nights every night from 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Monday, Dec. 1. Normal service will operate between Wednesday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 28. Riders can transfer between the L train and the M14 bus at Union Square or First Avenue. At Union Square, riders can pick up Brooklyn-bound L trains. Additionally, the last stop for some Canarsie/Rockaway Parkwaybound L trains will be Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues during weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 19. Normal service will operate between Monday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 28. Riders can transfer between Canarsie/Rockaway Parkwaybound L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue their trip. Stops Skipped, Service Split On The 7 Train Manhattan-bound 7 express trains will operate local service between Willets Point and Queensboro Plaza on Thursday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. until noon. Riders are advised to allow additional travel time. Additionally, Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street, 69th Street, 74th Street, 82nd Street, 90th Street, 103rd Street and 111th Street stations on Thursday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 21 from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this period, all 7 trains will stop at Woodside-61st Street and Junction Boulevard. For service to the skipped stations, take the 7 train to Woodside- 61st Street, Junction Boulevard or Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take a Manhattan-bound 7 train to Junction Boulevard, Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. G Train Service Is Suspended In Qns. G train service between 71st- Continental Avenues and Court Square will be suspended late night on weekends until further notice from 8:30 p.m. Fridays until 5 a.m. Mondays. For service to points in Brooklyn, take the R train to Queens Plaza and transfer to the E train. Take the E train to 23rd Street-Ely Avenue, where G service is available at the Court Square platform. For service to points in Queens, transfer to the E train at Court Square, then depart at Queens Plaza for R train local service. Additionally, G train service will operate in two sections—between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and between Bedford- Nostrand Avenues and Smith-Ninth Streets late night on Thursday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Nov. 14 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. Riders can transfer between G trains at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to continue their trip.
