BUS FLIPS ONTO CAR


The driver of an Access-a-Ride bus was injured after his vehicle struck a minivan flipped over onto a parked car at a Middle Village intersection last Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 19, Fire Department sources reported. According to the agency, the accident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of 75th Street and 69th Road. Members of Engine Company 319, Ladder Company 135, Battalion 46, the 104th Precinct, the NYPD Emergency Services Unit and EMS units responded to the scene. No passengers were on board at the time of the incident, and no other injuries were reported. The bus driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, an FDNY spokesperson said.
