Stores Wiped Out By Bklyn. Blaze
Flames that broke out inside a Bushwick supermarket reportedly spread to a neighboring furniture store during a two-alarm blaze last Tuesday night, Nov. 18, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the fire started at around 7:50 p.m. in the vicinity of Broadway and Granite Street. On the scene were members of Engine companies 207, 214, 222, 227, 231, 233, 252, 227 and 332; Ladder companies 111, 112, 120, 124, 175 and 176; Rescue 2; Squad Company 1; Satellite 6 and Battalions 28, 37, 38, 44 and 57, under the direction of Division 11. Officers from the 83rd Precinct and EMS units also arrived at the scene. No injuries were reported, and the blaze was brought under control at around 8:35 p.m., a Fire Department spokesperson said.
