      A melee that erupted among patrons at a Ridgewood billiards hall early on Sunday morning, Dec. 7 reportedly resulted in the stabbing of three men, including two later charged for their roles in the incident. Police said the trouble began at around 2:20 a.m. at Arena Billiards and Café, located at 341 St. Nicholas Ave. near Palmetto Street.

     Police have released an image of the bandit wanted for the recent armed robbery of a Woodside bank. As previously reported, the perpetrator took cash at gunpoint from the Queens County Savings Bank branch located at 60-10 Queens Blvd. at around 9:15 a.m. on Saturday morning, Nov. 29. He is described by law enforcement sources as an African-American male standing 5'6" tall, weighing 160 pounds and was last observed wearing a black stocking mask, a dark hooded sweater, a black baseball cap, dark pants, black shoes and black gloves while carrying a black backpack. Anyone with any information that could prove helpful is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or send a text message with the code TIP577 to 274637.
