Maspeth Students Answer The Call

As part of a program sponsored by State Sen. Serphin Maltese, students in the I.S. 73 Builders Club collected old cell phones donated by staff and their fellow students. As noted, they were delivered by Maltese's office to the proper agency and reprogrammed for calls restricted to 911, after which the phones would be distributed to persons in need. The I.S. 73 Builders Club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Maspeth and Harriet Kliegman serves as its teacher/advisor.
