Dwellings Damaged In Apt. House Blaze
Apartments on the top floors of a Long Island City apartment house were damaged in a one-alarm fire on Christmas night, Dec. 25, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the blaze occurred at around 7:05 p.m. at the structure located near the intersection of Jackson Avenue and 47th Road. Members of Engine comapnies 238, 258, 259, 260 and 325; Ladder companies 106, 115, 117 and 128; Rescue 4; Squad Company 288 and Battalions 45 and 49, under the direction of Division 14, responded to the scene along with EMS units and the 108th Precinct. No injuries were reported. Using four hose lines, an FDNY spokesperson said, the blaze was brought under control at around 8:45 p.m.
