Hurt In Middle Village Crash

(photo: Joseph Epstein)A car and a van collided at 74th Street and Eliot Avenue in Middle Village on Dec. 28 at 12:20 p.m., leaving the car's driver injured. The woman, who was removed from her vehicle using the Hurst tool (also called the "jaws of life"), was taken to a nearby hospital by EMS personnel with injuries which were described as not life-threatening. The 104th Precinct and FDNY Squad Company 288 were among those responding to the accident.
