FRED PREISS died on December 16, 2008 at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Helen, devoted father of Carol Vernier, Denise Battaglia and Donna Mitchell, dear brother of Emma Preiss and Freda Gyss; also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. AGATHA "Bonnie" ALNWICK died on December 22, 2008 at the age of 90. A native of Ridgewood, she also resided in Westchester County and Charlottesville, Virginia. She was the widow of the late Mortimer A. Alnwick who was killed on active duty as a Lieutenant with the Army Air Corps in 1944. She was a public high school teacher in Brooklyn and also worked at the American Can Company. She was a graduate of St. John's University and was awarded a Master's Degree from Hunter College of New York. She was the dear aunt of Charles J., and Judy, grand aunt of Charles J. III, Daniel J., and Eric J., great-grandaunt of Harry S.(all Goetz), sister of the late Eleanor Goetz. Religious services were held at the Teague Funeral Home, Charlottesville, Virginia followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
