Boat Garage Burned In Two-Alarm Blaze

(photo: Joseph Epstein)Firefighters from around northern Queens responded to the scene of a two-alarm inferno that damaged a boat repair shop in College Point last Tuesday night, Jan. 6, it was reported. According to FDNY sources, the blaze broke out at around 6 p.m. at the two-story garage located in the vicinity of 119th Street and 22nd Avenue. More than 20 Fire Department units responded to the scene. An FDNY spokesperson said three tower ladders and six hose lines were used to bring the blaze under control at around 9:30 p.m. that evening.
