Kitchen Cooked At Maspeth Eatery

(photo: Allen Epstein)(photo: Allen Epstein)Flames reportedly caused minor damage to the kitchen of a diner in Maspeth during a fire that broke out last Saturday night, Jan. 24, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the blaze started at around 8 p.m. inside the Fame diner located at the corner of Grand Avenue and 69th Place. Members of Engine companies 287 and 292; Ladder companies 136 and 140; Squad Company 288; the 104th Precinct and Battalion 46 responded to the scene. No injuries were reported. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the situation under control at around 8:30 p.m., an FDNY spokesperson said.
