DEATH NOTICES
DOMINIC JECKER of Phoenix, Arizona died on March 6, 2009 at the age of 93. He was the devoted father of Mark and dear grandfather of Catherine Eriguchi, James and John (both Jecker); also survived by great-grandchildren Helen Eriguchi and Joseph Jecker. He was a longtime Ridgewood resident, former member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal parish and one of the first graduates of Grover Cleveland Hish School; he was a U.S. Marines veteran of the Pacific Theatre of World War II and a member of the Transport Workers Union Local 100, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Funeral services were held under the direction of Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.

He was the beloved husband of Antonette Theresa, devoted father of Joel Pointis and Joan Read, brother of the late Yvonne Pointis and fond grandfather of Michelle and Christine; also survived by great-grandchildren Sarah, Rebecca, Daniel Chistopher, Emma, Benjamin, Abigail and Elizabeth. He was the dear brother of Anne Czerwinski and the late Stephen, John and Sophie; also survived by nephews Anthony, Stephen, Timothy, Thomas and niece Katherine. He graduated magna cum laude from Booklyn Polytechnic Institute and distinguished himself as a builder of model airplanes; for his accomplishments in which field he was inducted into the Society of Antique Modelers Hall of Fame and the Academy of Model Aeronautics Hall of Fame. +++ JOHN H. McGLYNN of Stroud Township, Pennsylvania died on March 8 at the age of 72. He was the husband of the late Irene (nee Sisk), devoted father of Denise Loedel and Doreen Perri, father-in-law of Enrique Loedel and Jospeh Perri (all of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania), dear brother of Arlene Asam and brother-in-law of John Asam (both of Mineola, New York), brother of the late Catherine Gerold and Agnes McGlynn and fond grandfather of Isabel, Christopher, Michael, Daniel, Samuel (all Loedel) and Rebecca Perri. He was a longtime resident of Ridgewood and Glendale and a pressman for the New York Daily News. Services will be held today, Thursday, March 12 at Christ Episcopal Church in Stroudsburg followed by interment in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg under the direction of the Joseph J.
