Trucker Suffers Seizure, Rig Hits Rail Line
     The driver of a gasoline tanker was hospitalized after suffering a seizure while traveling along Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven last Saturday night, May 23, it was reported. Fire Department sources said the rig, which was traveling slowly on the avenue at the time, collided with a support beam for the elevated J line above the strip near Forest Parkway at around 6:30 p.m. On the scene were members of Engine companies 285, 293 and 294; Ladder companies 142 and 143; Battalion 39, the 102nd Precinct and EMS units. Reportedly, the driver was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for injuries not considered life-threatening. Vehicle Slams Into Forest Hills Residence
     Nobody was home when an out-of-control SUV crashed into the doorstep of a house on Harrow Street near 71st Avenue in Forest Hills last Thursday night, May 21, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, two people inside the vehicle were hospitalized with minor injuries after the accident, which occurred at around 10:15 p.m. Members of Engine Co. 305, Ladder Co. 151, Rescue 4, Battalion 46, the 112th Precinct, EMS units and the Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene. Turnpike Collision Injures Pair
     Firefighters reportedly used the "jaws of life" to remove an injured motorist trapped inside a vehicle involved in a two-car crash on Union Turnpike in Kew Gardens Hills last Saturday, May 23. According to FDNY sources, the collision occurred at around 2:05 p.m. on the westbound lanes of the turnpike near Vleigh Place. Members of Engine Co. 315, Ladder Co. 125, Squad Co. 288, Rescue 4, Battalion 50, the 107th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. The trapped individual was freed by first responders with the Hurst tool and removed to a local hospital along with a second victim involved in the accident. Glendale Library Closed 2 Weeks

Car Flips Out After Ridgewood Crash
     Two people were hospitalized with injuries after a pair of vehicles collided at the intersection of Linden Street and Grandview Avenue in Ridgewood early last Friday morning, May 22, it was reported. The collision, which occurred at around 6:25 a.m., caused one of the vehicles to turn over onto its side, Fire Department sources said. On the scene were members of Engine Co. 291, Ladder Co. 140, Battalion 28, Rescue 4, the 104th Precinct and EMS units.
