DEATH NOTICES

MARIE T. COSTANZO (nee Stalzer) died on May 21, 2009 at the age of 76. A native of Brooklyn, she was the widow of the late Anthony M. Costanzo, devoted mother of Paula, of Jamaica, Christina, of Long Island, Anita, of Everett, Massachusetts, Andrea, of upstate Saratoga Springs, mother-in-law of Charles Neuner of Long Island and Alan Edstrom of Saratoga Springs, and sister of Dorothy DeRosa of Staten Island. She grew up in Ridgewood as a member of the Gottschee community and was christened and confirmed at St. Brigid's Church. She attended St. Brigid's School and St. Joseph's Commercial High School, where she graduated with Regents honors and was a member of St. Joseph's Chapter of the Leo Honor Society of the Diocese of Brooklyn. She worked at Cooper Union and Grant Advertising before moving to Saratoga Springs with her family in 1968. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement's Church in Saratoga Springs, to be followed by interment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratog Springs. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of one's choosing.

She was was the widow of the late Andrew Hung Ip and loving mother of Joseph, Thomas, Mary and Theresa; also survived by grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He was the beloved husband of Elena and devoted father of Melissa and Dalenna; also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. +++ WILLIAM J. McCORMICK JR. of Glendale died on May 22, 2009 at the age of 46. He was the dear brother of Sr. Eileen McCormick, Judith Farruggia, the late Bonnie Spucci and Patricia Seidenable, fond uncle of Jeanmarie Poska, Salvatore and Joseph Farruggia, Debra Spucci and Lauren Seidenable, and great-uncle of Caitlin and Cole Poska. Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Pancras Church followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory under the direction of the Schwille Funeral Home, 66-32 Myrtle Avenue, Glendale. Burial of the cremains will take place at St. John's Cemetery.

A native of Brooklyn, he was the husband of the late Margaret, devoted father of Martin Jaeger and fond grandfather of Karyn Justino and Jeanne Downard; also survived by great-grandson Matthew Justino and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. A native of Timisoara, Romania, she was the loving daughter of Anton Fratici and Alexandrina Iordan, and dear sister of Gabriel Fratici. Services were officiated by Reverend Viorel Dimitrescu at the Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Avenue, Ridgewood, followed by interment in Cimitrul Stuparllor in Timisoara, Romania.
