Bushwick School Site Of Job Talks On Annual Career Day
Holds Circus Day For Younger Students

      Public School 145, the Andrew Jackson School, celebrated its 16th annual career day last Wednesday, June 3 at its Bushwick facility. Guests ranged from New York City Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott and Council Member Diana Reyna to Veterinarian Xiomara Rodriguez, local historians Robert and Arthur Miller and P.O. Carolina Castillo of Harlem's 28th precinct.

Local Student Takes Top Honor
     Ridgewood resident Michal J. Wilczewski has been named the top sociology student at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pa., it was announced. Reportedly, Wilczewski will graduate with an overall GPA of 3.83 and a 3.9 in his major; he was inducted into La Salle's Honor Society, was a recipient of the John S. Grady Honors Scholarship and is currently on the short list for a Fulbright Fellowship to Poland. He has received a full scholarship in Michigan State University's history department where he will continue studies on modern European History and the Holocaust.
