U16 Earns Place In North Carolina Tourney
      With league seasons in the last throes, several Blau Weiss sides secured positions atop their tables with wins over the weekend of June 6-7. The U8A easily defeated Brooklyn Italians 13-2. Goals were scored by Sal Rasizzi (2), Sean Molloy (4), Matteo Ritaccio (3), Michael Kilcarr (2), Eric Schemitsch and Dylan Santos.

Old Man Martin Outsmarts Field To Take Checkered Flag On Empty Tank
      Mark Martin was third with two laps to go in Sunday's Sprint Cup LifeLock 400, behind the leader, Jimmy Johnson and the second-place driver Greg Biffle. Johnson, Martin's Hendrick Motorsports teammate, was the first to go. He ran out of fuel as the cars took the white flag, signifying one lap to go in the 200-lap race.
