Two children and two adults were hospitalized with minor injuries after being involved in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Cooper and Metropolitan avenues in Middle Village last Friday, June 19, Fire Department sources said. Sedan Strikes Signal, Catches Fire On Blvd.
Traveling along Woodhaven Boulevard was a dangerous experience for two people who were injured when their car lost control and struck a traffic signal early last Saturday morning, June 20, FDNY sources said. Reportedly, the collision occurred at around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Woodhaven Boulevard and Cooper Avenue. Fire Department sources said the car burst into flames shortly after impact. On the scene were members of Engine Co. 319, Ladder Co. 151, Squad Co. 288, Rescue 4, Battalion 46, the 104th and 112th precincts and EMS units. Reportedly, the incident occurred at around 6 p.m. along the Manhattan-bound tracks on the elevated J train above Jamaica Avenue.
