Four Injured In Crash At Intersection
     Two children and two adults were hospitalized with minor injuries after being involved in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Cooper and Metropolitan avenues in Middle Village last Friday, June 19, Fire Department sources said. Firefighters from Engine Co. 319 and Ladder Co. 151 responded to the scene at around 6:30 p.m. along with officers from the 104th Precinct, EMS units and the Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Sedan Strikes Signal, Catches Fire On Blvd.
     Traveling along Woodhaven Boulevard was a dangerous experience for two people who were injured when their car lost control and struck a traffic signal early last Saturday morning, June 20, FDNY sources said. Reportedly, the collision occurred at around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Woodhaven Boulevard and Cooper Avenue. Fire Department sources said the car burst into flames shortly after impact. On the scene were members of Engine Co. 319, Ladder Co. 151, Squad Co. 288, Rescue 4, Battalion 46, the 104th and 112th precincts and EMS units.      A man was struck and killed by a J train near the Woodhaven Boulevard station in Woodhaven last Tuesday night, June 16, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the incident occurred at around 6 p.m. along the Manhattan-bound tracks on the elevated J train above Jamaica Avenue. Members of Engine companies 285 and 294; Ladder companies 142 and 143; Squad Co. 270; Rescue 4; Battalion 51; the 102nd Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene.       A Queens jury convicted a Brooklyn man last Friday, June 19, in the fatal shooting of a Richmond Hill pawn shop owner during a botched robbery attempt in January 2006, it was announced. Demetrious Greene, 32, of Watkins Street in Brownsville was found guilty of murdering 40-yearold Richard Schoenfeld of Merrick, L.I., outside the victim's pawn shop on Atlantic Avenue.
