What—you don't remember? More ... The RGMVM Aces 10U team captured its first travel tournament championship on Sunday, July 5, it was reported. The Aces opened the tournament with a 6-3 victory over the L.I. Diamondbacks on July 3 before dropping the nightcap to the Brooklyn Bulldogs. On July 4, the Aces tied the Bonnie Orioles 5-5 and closed the day with a 9-4 win over the Bulldogs. The semifinal game on Sunday ended in a hard fought 7-4 victory over the Bulldogs. The Aces got off to a quick start in the final against the Orioles, leading by six runs after two innings, but a tired pitching staff allowed the Orioles to claw back to 6-6. In the bottom of the third, the Aces bats awoke, sending 15 batters to the plate and scoring 10 runs putting the game out of reach.
