Car Loses Control On Bushwick Block


Traveling down a Bushwick street at a high rate of speed proved costly for a driver who was critically injured after his vehicle lost control and slammed into several parked cars on Sunday morning, Oct. 18, it was reported. Fire Department sources said the accident occurred at 8 a.m. along Hart Street between Central and Wilson avenues. After striking the parked cars, FDNY sources said, the motorist was thrown from his car onto the pavement. On the scene were members of Engine Co. 218, Ladder companies 112 and 124; Battalion 28; Rescue 2; the 83rd Precinct; the NYPD Emergency Services Unit 8 and EMS units. The injured driver was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, an FDNY source said. No other persons were injured.
