Gottschee Sides See League, State Cup & Academy Action
U12A & U12 Celtic Play Well To Advance
     Over the past two weekends, Gottschee teams saw action in the State Cup, Academy exhibition games and league play. Both U12 teams won third round games in the New York State Cup competition, while the Academy teams played exhibition games against the New Jersey Soccer Academy and Oakwood, while the younger teams, playing in league competition did quite well.

Faces 2nd-Place Blue Oct. 31 At Farmers Oval
      Blue and White faced off for the first time in the first game of Week 3 in the Queens Falcons Run To Daylight Football League. White received the opening kickoff and drove over 60 yards down the field to open up the scoring with an 8-0 lead. The drive was led by two reverses ran by wide receiver #23 Kelli Benson.

     The St. Margaret’s CYO Intermediate—Cavaliers Section team traveled to Brooklyn Sunday, Oct. 25 to play the team from Resurrection in the third game of the season. Resurrection is new to CYO this season and has been playing in the Brooklyn youth league.

Dragons Sluggish In Loss To St. Gregory
3-2 Defeat Drops Record To 4-4
     St. Margaret’s Dragons fifth grade soccer team fell by a score of 3-2, losing to St. Gregory’s to even its record at 4-4. The first half saw the Dragons outplayed by St. Gregory’s. St. Margaret’s seemed to be still asleep at the outset but still managed to be tied at the end of the first half.
