Area Men And Women Receive Promotions In National Guard

Maj. Gen. Joseph J. Taluto, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announced the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capabilities for additional responsibility and leadership.

Local men and women who received promotions include:

Ronald Walker from Brooklyn, serving with 1569th Transportation Co., is promoted to the rank of Private.

David Arroyo from Maspeth, serving with Company A, 101st Signal Battalion, is promoted to the rank of Specialist.

Antonio Soto from Ridgewood, serving with 719 Transportation Company (Medium Truck, Cargo), is promoted to the rank of Specialist.

Sompra Rai from Sunnyside, serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1-258th Field Artillery, is promoted to the rank of Private.

Marco Guerra from Elmhurst, serving with 133rd Quartermaster Supply Company Co, is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Jose Otero from Brooklyn, serving with 719 Transportation Company (Medium Truck, Cargo), is promoted to the rank of Private 1st Class.

Alain Prisacariu from Sunnyside, serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3-142d Avi- ation, is promoted to the rank of Specialist.

Anthony Hernandez from Richmond Hill, serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 369th Sustainment Brigade, is promoted to the rank of Private.

Luisa Colon from Brooklyn, serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 104th Military Police Battalion, is promoted to the rank of Private.

Sandeep Pandya from Forest Hills, serving with Company C, (Med) 427th Brigade Support Battalion, is promoted to the rank of Private 1st Class.

Joel Quinones from Brooklyn, serving with 222d Chemical Company, is promoted to the rank of Private.

Daniel London from Ozone Park, serving with 14th Finance Detachment, is promoted to the rank of Specialist.

Chitkumar Harry from South Richmond Hill, serving with Company B, 642d Support Battalion, is promoted to the rank of Private.
