It was a very exciting U7 Gottschee Indoor tournament this year and the final was an all Gottschee affair with Gottschee Ireland and Gottschee Italy making it to the final.

After trailing 3-1 in the first half the very fast and skilled Gottschee Italy came back to win it 6-4. Jack McGlynn, Steve Rasizzi, Joe Pennolino, Shai Azoulay and the tour- nament MVP, goalkeeper Tommy Rasizzi, all played great.

Again Gottschee fielded two teams in this division (BWG Blue and BWG White). The teams had high hopes, with many expecting a repeat of the BWG vs. BWG final which occurred at last year’s tournament.

Both teams started strong by finishing first and second in the round robin phase of the tournament. However, it seemed like the players lost steam, because BWG White was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs with a 3-0 loss to the Rough Riders.

BWG Blue won its first round of the playoffs and met the Rough Riders in the semifinals. The game was tied at the end of regulation, with BWG losing in the penalty shootout. In the finals, NASA of New Jersey overwhelmed the LI Rough Riders 6-1.
