Firemen Injured In Factory Inferno


Three firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a three-alarm fire that broke out at a factory in Willets Point last Friday afternoon, May 28, Fire Department sources stated. Reportedly, the blaze ignited at around 1:15 p.m. at the commercial building located at the corner of Northern Boulevard and 127th Street. More than 30 FDNY companies responded to the scene along with the 110th Precinct and EMS units. The injured firefighters were brought to a local hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Four hose lines were used to bring the blaze under control at around 3:30 p.m., an FDNY spokesperson said. The cause of the fire is under investigation, it was noted.
