Times Addresses Label Problems There have been frequent complaints into the offices of the Times Newsweekly/Ridgewood Times regarding the placement of the mailing label on the front page of the newspaper. The decision to place the mailing label on the lower left side of the front page was entirely the decision of the U.S. Postal Service, not this newspaper. The USPS has informed this newspaper that this is the ONLY location on the front page where the mailing label can be placed. An alternative would be to leave a large blank space in the general area where the USPS insists on placing the label as an accommodation—with no guarantee that the USPS will place the label exactly in that space. However, the newspaper feels this is discriminatory to our many, many customers who purchase the Times Newsweekly and Ridgewood Times at their local newsstands. This newspaper regrets any inconvenience this has caused to our loyal subscribers, and would like to thank them for their interest and concern in this matter.
