Flames Scorch Bushwick Factory Yard


Flames consumed debris in the yard of a factory located in the vicinity of Melrose Street and Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick last Saturday afternoon, June 26, it was reported. Fire Department sources said that the one-alarm blaze ignited at around 4:30 p.m., prompting a response by members of Engine companies 217, 218, 230 and 237; Ladder companies 108, 111, 112, 124 and 135; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 2 and Battalions 28 and 37—under the direction of Division 11—along with the 83rd Precinct and EMS units.
