 On July 4, A New Church Was Born Sunday, July 4 was a special day for Glendale-Maspeth United Methodist Church, as it marked the first Sunday Morning Worship Service of the newly combined congregation. As shown above, the United Methodist Men hosted a Special Coffee Hour to celebrate the merger between Maspeth United Methodist Church, whose century-old home burned down in June 2009, and Glendale United Methodist Church. Rev. Philip Hardt, not shown, said he is looking forward to working with the combined congregations.
