     Street Cleaning Suspensions Alternate-side parking rules will be suspended across the city on the following days: Saturday, Oct. 8 (Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur); Monday, Oct. 10 (Columbus Day) and Thursday, Oct. 13 through Friday, Oct. 14 (Jewish holy days of Succoth). Meter regulations, however, will remain in effect citywide.

Officials in Park Ridge, Illinois said they have done away with a ban on public profanity as part of an effort to do away with outdated ordinances.
