Being Mentors & Heroes In Queens



Queens Borough President Helen Marshall and the Big Brothers Big Sisters organziation teamed up to celebrate Mentoring Day in Queens last Monday, Jan. 30. As noted, the event was part of National Mentoring Month, a recruiting effort to inspire individuals to volunteer as mentors to children in need of positive role models. During the event at Borough Hall in Kew Gardens, Big Sister Tippy Latnhotha (at right) along with her “Little Sister” Stephanie were honored by Marshall with a certificate. Congratulations, Tippy! I've been wondering how you were doing; it appears the answer to that is "very well"!! BTW, so you still have any contact with your internship advisor at Hamline? I'm back at Target Shoreview, and would always be open to having another "mini you"!!
