Marathon Ended Before It Started
Race Cancelled Amid Controversy
     With many New Yorkers questioning the appropriateness of running the ING New York City Marathon in the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the New York Road Runners Club (NYRRC) officially cancelled the race last Friday night, Nov. 2, about 36 hours before it was to have taken place.
