All MTA New York City Transit subways and bus routes in Brooklyn and Queens will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Good Friday, Mar. 29. The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), however, will add additional early afternoon trains for those wishing to leave early in observance of the holiday.
The eight additional eastbound trains on the LIRR will depart Penn Station between 2:08 and 3:48 p.m. The extra service includes a 2:32 p.m. train on the Port Jefferson branch stopping at Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Jamaica and New Hyde Park, then making all stops to Huntington; and a 3:40 p.m. train on the Port Washington branch stopping at Woodside and Flushing-Main Street, then making all stops to Great Neck.

Both MTA New York City Transit and the LIRR will operate a normal Sunday schedule on Easter Sunday, Mar. 31.
More Weekend Svc. Disruptions On J Line
J train service is scheduled to be suspended between Crescent Street in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center in Queens this weekend, from 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 30 until 10 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 31. This service change will also be in effect the following weekend, Apr. 6-7.
During this period, J trains will only operate between Crescent Street and Chambers Street. Shuttle buses will provide alternate service, making stops at all J train stations between Crescent Street and 121st Street, and connect to the Jamaica-Van Wyck station on the E line.
Riders can transfer between the shuttle buses and the J train at Cres- cent Street. For service to the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue and Jamaica Center stations, transfer from the shuttle bus to the E train at Jamaica Van Wyck.
The shuttle buses will stop as follows:
• Crescent Street—on Fulton Street at Crescent Street;
• Cypress Hills—at the B13 stop on Jamaica Avenue at Hemlock Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or on Crescent Street at Jamaica Avenue (to Crescent Street station);
• 75th Street-Elderts Lane—at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 75th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or at Dexter Court (to Crescent Street);
• 85th Street-Forest Parkway—at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 85th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or 86th Street (to Crescent Street);
• Woodhaven Boulevard—at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at Woodhaven Boulevard;
• 104th Street—at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 104th Street;
• 111th Street—at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 111th Street;
• 121st Street—at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 121st Street; and
• Jamaica-Van Wyck—on the Van Wyck Expressway service road at 89th Avenue.

Additional Changes On Subway Lines
The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.
These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Mar. 27. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

Skip Weekday Stops
On 7 Line In Queens
Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 111th Street, 103rd Street, 90th Street and 82nd Street stations on Thursday, Mar. 28, and Friday, Mar. 29, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m.
For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or 74th Street, then transfer to a Flushing bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or Mets-Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.
M Service Ends Early Bet. F.H., Manhattan
Service on the M line will be suspended between 47th-50th Streets in Manhattan and 71st-Continental Avenue in Forest Hills on Monday night, Apr. 1, from 9:30 p.m. until midnight. M trains will continue to operate between 47th-50th Streets in Manhattan and Metropolitan Avenue in Middle Village.
During this period, E trains will operate local service between Fifth Avenue-53rd Street and 71st-Continental Avenues and F trains will make all M stops between 36th Street in Queens and 71st-Continental Avenues. R trains operate local service between Queens Plaza and 71st-Continental Avenues.
For service to affected stations on the M line, transfer to the E, F or R trains at 71st-Continental Avenues or, in Manhattan, the E train at West Fourth Street, the F train at 57th Street or the R train at 34th Street-Herald Square.
Some E, R Trains Run Express In Qns.
Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run express service between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue late nights this weekend, from 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 30, until 5 a.m. Monday, Apr. 1.
Additionally, Forest Hills-bound R trains will also operate express service between Roosevelt Avenue and 71st-Continental Avenues at all times this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 30-31.
Furthermore, Jamaica Centerbound E trains will run express service between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue late nights, Tuesday through Friday, from 12:15 to 5 a.m. through Apr. 12. Service, however, will operate normally on Tuesday, Apr. 2.
For service to the 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard or 65th Street stations, take the E or R train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or R train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Centerbound E train or a Forest Hills-bound R train.
E & F Trains Skip Stops Late Nights
Manhattan-bound E and F trains will skip the Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue stations late night on Tuesday and Wednesday, Apr. 2-3, from 9:45 p.m. until 5 a.m. During this period, Manhattan-bound F trains will also skip the Sutphin Boulevard station.
For service to the Van Wyck Boulevard or 75th Avenue stations, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Centerbound E train or a Jamaica-bound F train. For service to the Sutphin Boulevard station, take the F train to Union Turnpike, then transfer to a Jamaica bound F train.
For service from these stations, take the E train to Union Turnpike or Van Wyck Boulevard, or the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattanbound E or F train.
N Train Skips Stops
In Astoria Weekdays
Manhattan-bound N trains will skip the 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue and 39th Avenue stations on Tuesday, Apr. 2, through Friday, Apr. 5, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this period, there will be no Q train service between 57th Street in Manhattan and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria.
For service to the skipped stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train.
‘Fastrack’ Comes To J Line In Manhattan
The MTA’s Fastrack maintenance and cleanup program will affect service on the J line in Manhattan during late nights on Monday, Apr. 1, through Friday, Apr. 5, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
During these periods, there will be no J train service between Essex Street and Broad Street; J trains will continue to operate between Essex Street in Manhattan and Jamaica Center in Queens. Shuttle buses will replace J train service in Lower Manhattan.
As travel alternates, take the F train at Delancey Street to Broadway- Lafayette Street, then transfer to the 4 or 6 lines.
Central Ave. Station Closed For Repairs
The Central Avenue station on the M line in Bushwick was closed last Saturday, Mar. 9, and will remain shut through late August as the MTA conducts renovations as part of its “station renewal” program.
Riders are advised to use the Myrtle Avenue-Broadway or Knickerbocker Avenue stops on the M line, the Kosciuszko Street stop on the J line or the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues station on the L and M lines as alternates.
Additionally, the B54 bus provides connecting service between Central Avenue and the Myrtle Avenue, Knickerbocker Avenue and Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues stations. During overnight hours, shuttle buses will be provided between these stations.
Sandy-Related Svc. Changes Remain
Until further notice, there is no service on the A line south of the Howard Beach station to the Rockaways and on the Rockaway Park Shuttle.
Riders can use a free shuttle bus between Howard Beach and Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue. There is also a free H train shuttle operating between Far Rockaway and Beach 90th Street. Stations west of Beach 90th Street remain closed.
The H train operates on weekdays from 4:55 a.m. to 9:25 p.m. and on weekends from 4:30 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. The change in times is in order to accommodate ongoing work along the line to restore full service in the Rockaways.
For service between Beach 90th Street and Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Streets, transfer to the Q22 bus line, which makes nearby stops.
The MTA has expanded service on the Q52 limited line between Elmhurst and the Rockaways in order to increase rush-hour access to the A train in Ozone Park.
Reportedly, service time has been doubled during peak rush hours on the Q52, which terminates in the Arverne section of the Rockaways. Q52 buses will run ever six minutes during peak rush hours and every 7 1/2 minutes during non-rush hour periods on weekdays.
The Q52 primarily runs on Woodhaven and Cross Bay boulevards and stops at Liberty Avenue, close to the Rockaway Boulevard A train station.
