Kids Walk The Runway At Sunnyside Fashion Show

The Queen of Angels Church basement looked a lot like a runway at a Milan fashion show last Sunday, Apr. 30, during the “Project Streetwear: Made in New York” extravaganza. Presented by Sunnyside Artworks, about 50 youngsters from Western Queens personally modeled clothes that they had sewn and designed themselves. On display in the Skillman Avenue religious facility were skirts, shorts, pajama bottoms, shirts, vests and even hoodies, featuring everything from plum-and-khaki green to coral pink ruffled lace to blue tie-dyed polar fleece.
