Sunday Schedule On Fourth Of July

All MTA New York City Transit subway and bus lines, and all bus lines operated by the MTA Bus Company, will operate on a Sunday schedule on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly and allow for additional travel time.

Weekend M Shuttle Service Suspended

Weekend shuttle service on the M line between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway will be suspended from 11:45 p.m. Friday night, June 28, until 5 a.m. Monday morning, July 1. This service change will also be in effect at the same times the following weekend, July 5-8.

Shuttle buses will replace M train service and make all M train station stops between both points. Riders can transfer between the shuttle bus and the L train at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues or the J train at Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

• Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue— at the Q54 bus stop on Metropolitan Avenue at Rentar Plaza;

• Fresh Pond Road—at the B20 bus stop on Putnam Avenue at Fresh Pond Road (to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Fresh Pond Road at Putnam Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

• Forest Avenue—at the B20 bus stop on Putnam Avenue at Fairview Avenue (to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Fairview Avenue at Putnam Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

• Seneca Avenue—at B38 bus stops on Seneca Avenue at Palmetto Street;

• Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues—at the B13 bus stop on Gates Avenue at Wyckoff Avenue (to Myrtle Avenue- Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Palmetto Street at Myrtle Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

• Knickerbocker Avenue—at B54 bus stops on Myrtle Avenue at Knickerbocker Avenue;

• Central Avenue—on Myrtle Avenue at Cedar Street (to Myrtle Avenue Broadway) or the B54 bus stop on Myrtle Avenue at DeKalb Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue); and

• Myrtle Avenue-Broadway—at the B46 bus stop on Broadway at Myrtle Avenue.

Additional Subway Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, June 26. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

Weekday Express On J Train In Brooklyn

Jamaica Center-bound J trains will operate express service between Myrtle Avenue and Broadway Junction on Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28, from 9:45 a.m. until 3 p.m. This service change will also be in effect this weekend, from 3:45 a.m. Saturday,

June 29, until 10 p.m. Sunday, June 30, and during the same times the following weekend, July 6-7.

For service to the Kosciuszko Street, Gates Avenue, Halsey Street and Chauncey Street stations, take the J train to Broadway Junction, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J train. For service from these stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train.

Switch Of Lines On E Train Late Nights

Manhattan-bound E trains will run on the F line between 36th Street in Queens and West Fourth Street in Manhattan late nights on Friday, June 28, and Monday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 3, from 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. These trains will resume regular service after West Fourth Street to the World Trade Center.

It was also noted that Middle Village bound M trains will run on the F line between 36th Street and 47th- 50th Streets on Monday and Tuesday, July 1-2, from 9:30 to 11:59 p.m.

For service to the Queens Plaza or Court Square-23rd Street stations, transfer to the R train at Roosevelt Avenue (up to 11 p.m.) or the 7 train at Roosevelt Avenue (all hours).

F Trains To Jamaica Local Late Nights

Jamaica-bound F trains will run local service between Roosevelt Avenue and 71st-Continental Avenues late night on Friday, June 28, from 12:30 until 5 a.m. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

E, F Trains Run Local To Jamaica Saturday

Jamaica Center-bound E trains and Jamaica-bound F trains will operate local service between Roosevelt Avenue and 71st-Continental Avenues on Saturday, June 29, from 12:01 a.m. until 8 p.m. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Some L Trains Are Shortened In Bklyn.

Alternate Canarsie-bound L trains will make their last stop at Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Friday, June 28. Riders can transfer between L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue their trip.

It was noted that L trains will operate every 12 minutes between Myrtle Wyckoff Avenues and Rockaway Parkway. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Additionally, L train service will operate in two sections—between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction and between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway—from 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, until 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 3. Riders can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip.

During this period, it was noted, all L trains running between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway will operate every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

N Train Skips Stops

In Astoria Weekdays

Manhattan-bound N trains will skip the 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue and 39th Avenue stations on Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this period, there will be no Q train service between 57th Street and Ditmars Boulevard.

For service to the skipped N train stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train.

Central Ave. Station Closed For Repairs

The Central Avenue station on the M line in Bushwick remains closed through late August as the MTA conducts renovations as part of its “station renewal” program.

Riders are advised to use the Myrtle Avenue-Broadway or Knickerbocker Avenue stops on the M line, the Kosciuszko Street stop on the J line or the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues station on the L and M lines as alternates.

Additionally, the B54 bus provides connecting service between Central Avenue and the Myrtle Avenue, Knickerbocker Avenue and Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues stations. During overnight hours, shuttle buses will be provided between these stations.
