No Weekend G Trains Bet. L.I.C., Greenpoint

G train service will be suspended between Court Square in Long Island City and Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, July 12, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 15. This service change will be in effect the following weekend, July 19-22.

During these period, G trains will operate between Nassau Avenue and Church Avenue.

There will be two sets of shuttle buses replacing G train service in Long Island City and Greenpoint. One of the buses will run between Court Square and Nassau Avenue (primarily along Manhattan Avenue) and make stops at the Greenpoint Avenue and 21st Street stations. The other shuttle bus will run between Court Square and the Lorimer Street/Metropolitan Avenue G and L train station (primar- ily along McGuinness Boulevard) and make stops at Nassau Avenue, Greenpoint Avenue and 21st Street.

Riders can transfer between the Manhattan Avenue shuttle buses and the G train at Nassau Avenue, and between the McGuinness Boulevard shuttle buses and the G or L trains at Lorimer Street/Metropolitan Avenue.

The Manhattan Avenue shuttle bus will stop at G train stations as follows:

• Court Square—on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue;

• 21st Street—on Jackson Avenue at 47thAvenue (to Nassau Avenue) or 21st Street (to Court Square);

• Greenpoint Avenue—on Manhattan Avenue at Greenpoint Avenue; and

• Nassau Avenue—on Manhattan Avenue at Bedford Avenue.

The McGuinness Boulevard shut- tle bus will stop at G train stations as follows:

• Court Square—on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue;

• 21st Street—on Jackson Avenue at 47th Avenue (to Lorimer Street/Metropolitan Avenue) or 21st Street (to Court Square);

• Greenpoint Avenue—on McGuinness Boulevard at Greenpoint Avenue;

• Nassau Avenue—on McGuinness Boulevard at Nassau Avenue; and

• Lorimer Street/Metropolitan Avenue— on Metropolitan Avenue at Union Avenue.

J Trains Take Place Of Weekend M Shuttle

J train service will operate in two sections—one of which will replace the M train shuttle—this Saturday and Sunday, July 13-15, and the following five weekends.

Between 3:30 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday, J trains will operate between Metropolitan Avenue and Chambers Street and between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center. There will be no J train service between Broadway Junction and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.

Riders can connect to both legs of the J train by transferring to the L train at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and Broadway Junction.

Shuttle buses will replace J train service btween Broadway Junction and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway and stop at the affected J train stations as follows:

• Myrtle Avenue-Broadway—on Broadway at Myrtle Avenue;

• Kosciuszko Street—on Bushwick Avenue at Kosciuszko Street (to Broadway Junction) or at Stockholm Street (to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway);

• Gates Avenue—on Bushwick Avenue at Gates Avenue;

• Halsey Street—on Bushwick Avenue at Gates Avenue;

• Chauncey Street—on Bushwick Avenue at Chauncey Street (to Broadway Junction) or on Rockaway Avenue at Broadway (to Myrtle Avenue Broadway); and

• Broadway Junction—on Fulton Street at Van Sinderen Avenue.

Additional Subway Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

7 Train To Flushing Skips Stops Saturday

Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street stations on Saturday, July 13, from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushingbound 7 train.

Additionally, Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 111th Street, 103rd Street, 90th Street and 82nd Street on Monday, July 15, through Thursday, July 18, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. This service change will not take place, however, on Tuesday, July 16.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or 74th Street, then transfer to a Flushing bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or Mets-Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train .

Weekday Express On J Train In Brooklyn

Jamaica Center-bound J trains will operate express service between Myrtle Avenue and Broadway Junction on Thursday, July 11, and Friday, July 12, from 9:45 a.m. until 3 p.m.

For service to the Kosciuszko Street, Gates Avenue, Halsey Street and Chauncey Street stations, take the J train to Broadway Junction, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J train. For service from these stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train.

Switch Of Lines On E Train Late Nights

Manhattan-bound E trains will run on the F line between 36th Street in Queens and West Fourth Street in Manhattan on Monday through Friday from 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Friday, Aug. 2. These trains will resume regular service after West Fourth Street to the World Trade Center.

It was also noted that Middle Village bound M trains will run on the F line between 36th Street and 47th- 50th Streets on Monday through Thursday from 9:30 to 11:59 p.m. during the same period.

For service to the Queens Plaza or Court Square-23rd Street stations, transfer to the R train at Roosevelt Avenue (up to 11 p.m.) or the 7 train at Roosevelt Avenue (all hours).

Additionally, Manhattan-bound E trains will run express service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Plaza from 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, until 5 a.m. Thursday, July 18.

For service to the 65th Street, Northern Boulevard, 46th Street, Steinway Street and 36th Street stations, take the E train to Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Centerbound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattanbound E train.

F Train Switches Lines On Weekend

Manhattan-bound F trains will run on the E line between Roosevelt Avenue and Fifth Avenue-53rd Street this weekend, from 11:15 p.m. Friday, July 12, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 15. This service change will also be in effect the following weekend, July 19- 22.

As a result of this service change, there will be no Manhattan-bound F train service at the 21st Street- Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue-63rd Street and 57th Street stations.

For service to these stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from the 21st Street- Queensbridge and Roosevelt Island stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattanbound F train.

Two Line Switches On Weekend R Trains

R trains will run on the D and M lines between DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn and Queens Plaza all this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 13-14. This service change will be repeated the following weekend, July 20-21.

R trains will run as normal on their routes in Queens between Queens Plaza and 71st-Continental Avenues; and in Brooklyn between DeKalb Avenue and 95th Street-Bay Ridge. The trains will run on the D line between DeKalb Avenue and Broadway- Lafayette Street and on the M line between Broadway-Lafayette Street and Queens Plaza.

While this disruption takes place, N trains will make all R stops between DeKalb Avenue and Lexington Avenue 59th Street, and Q trains will make all R stops between DeKalb Avenue and 57th Street-Seventh Avenue. Riders can transfer from the R train to the N or Q trains at either DeKalb Avenue or 34th Street-Herald Square.

Split Service On L Line In Bklyn.

L train service will operate in two sections—between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction and between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway—on Thursday, July 11, and Tuesday, July 16, through Thursday, July 18, from 10:15 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Riders can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip.

During this period, it was noted, all L trains running between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway will operate every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

N Trains Skip Stops In Astoria Weekdays

Astoria-bound N trains will skip the 39th Avenue, 36th Avenue, Broadway and 30th Avenue stations on Tuesday, July 16, through Friday, July 19, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this time period, there will be no Q train service between 57th Street and Ditmars Boulevard.

For service to the skipped stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train.

Central Ave. Station Closed For Repairs

The Central Avenue station on the M line in Bushwick remains closed through late August as the MTA conducts renovations as part of its “station renewal” program.

Riders are advised to use the Myrtle Avenue-Broadway or Knickerbocker Avenue stops on the M line, the Kosciuszko Street stop on the J line or the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues station on the L and M lines as alternates.

Additionally, the B54 bus provides connecting service between Central Avenue and the Myrtle Avenue, Knickerbocker Avenue and Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues stations. During overnight hours, shuttle buses will be provided between these stations.
